March 15, 2025 – The 2026 AWE officially closed at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. During the expo, AUDIOWELL presented its "A+ Sense & Control Technology Builds a Better Life" theme, showcasing a particle sensing solution developed for robotic vacuums, smart floor washers, vacuum cleaners, and other devices. By monitoring real-time particle size data on the ground, the solution drives the device to intelligently adjust suction power, enabling cleaning equipment to "perceive" the type of debris on the floor and automatically match the optimal cleaning mode. This shifts the device from passive execution to active adaptation, significantly improving cleaning efficiency and effectiveness across different scenarios.

Technical Principle: Piezoelectric Effect Enables Precise Particle Size Recognition
Ground debris comes in many forms – from fine dust and hair to larger particles and fragments – with significant differences in physical characteristics. Traditional cleaning devices often use constant suction or simple floor-type detection to adjust their working modes, making it difficult to respond precisely to pollutants of different particle sizes.

The core of AUDIOWELL's particle sensing solution lies in the real-time detection and analysis of particle size. From a physical perspective, when airflow carries particles through the sensor’s detection zone, the built-in piezoelectric unit collides with the particles, thereby measuring their size. The larger the particle, the greater the force and extent of each individual collision; the more particles present, the wider the collision range.

This technical approach enables cleaning devices to "see" and "distinguish" the types of ground contaminants: whether they are fine dust, larger debris, or common particles in between. Based on this real-time information, the device automatically assesses the contamination level and pollutant properties of the current cleaning scenario, making precise operational decisions.

Intelligent Adaptive Adjustment: From One-Size-Fits-All to Precision Matching
Once particle size information is obtained, the intelligent value of the solution becomes evident. The system links particle size detection results with the device’s motor control unit to achieve dynamic suction adjustment:

When fine dust is primarily detected, the device maintains moderate suction to balance cleaning performance and battery life.

When larger particles (e.g., debris, granular materials) are detected, the device automatically increases suction to ensure one-pass removal.

When particle concentration drops significantly, the device reduces power consumption for energy-efficient operation.

This real-time sensing based adaptive mode frees cleaning devices from a “one size fits all” approach. From a control theory perspective, the solution forms a closed loop control system: the sensor acts as a perception unit collecting environmental information in real time, the control unit makes decisions based on preset strategies, and the actuator (motor) outputs corresponding suction, ultimately achieving an optimal balance between cleaning effectiveness and energy consumption.
